The Concubine’s Daughter Came Around - Chapter 3 - Partiality
Chapter 3: Partiality

In the anteroom, Dong Yuan struck the table with great anger.
“What a bitch! She really pisses me off!”
A dead body was laid on the ground whose blood no longer flew. Two maids were kneeling beside the body. As trembling, they said, “Master, you must defend Anxiang!”
Others all had educated and reasonable daughters! But he had such a cruel daughter! Thinking of this, Dong Yuan couldn’t help flying into fury.
“Where is my eldest daughter? Bring her to me immediately!” he rebuked angrily.
“Don’t bother. I’m coming.” replied Dong Ling.
After pushing the door open, Dong Ling dragged her thin body in. She walked to the chair by the wall and sat down. She asked, “Dad, what do you want me for?”

She looked clean and simple in white. Her black hair was tangled around her shoulder from where drops of water rolled down.
Putting one hand on her forehead and the other hand on the table, she leaned against tea table and smiled mysteriously. Seen from far away, she looked even more powerful than her angry father.
“You! You beast! Why do I have such a cruel daughter like you?” asked Dong Yuan.
Mrs. Dong sat by his side and drank tea quietly. She didn’t talk or even look at Dong Ling as if she hadn’t seen what was happening.
Dong Ling didn’t mean to be impolite. But after suffering so much, she still felt cold. She was quite dizzy and forced herself to hold on. If she stood up, she could possibly fall down on her back.
“Dad, I wonder what I did wrong?” asked she.
With a ghastly pale face, Dong Yuan yelled, “You punished the maid without permission and even killed her. You were too offensive. Somebody, come! Punish her according to our family rules! I won’t recognize her!”
“Damn it!” replied Dong Ling with scorn, “I’m the eldest daughter of our family and the future wife of the crown prince. In your eyes, am I even less important than a maid?”
Based on the memory of original “Dong Ling”, Dong Ling knew that this dynasty, where she had a time-travel to, was rigidly stratified. Maids didn’t matter at all. It wasn’t a big deal to kill some of them.
Dong Yuan wanted to punish her, just because everyone in the family disliked her and wanted to kill her!
Dong Ling didn’t want to get aggrieved. Her direct reply suddenly dumbfounded Dong Yuan. His face flushed.
“You… How dare you!”
Dong Yuan was a playboy who only enjoyed romantic themes. Such a big family had to rely on his mother and his wife. So when his daughter talked back, he didn’t even know how to reply.
Just then, Mrs. Dong spoke.
“Dong Ling, even if the maid offended you, you shouldn’t have killed her. Otherwise, you would disappoint other maids! You killed a maid and then contradicted your father without any respect. I’ll have you flogged for twenty times to give you a lesson!”
In only a few words, she ignored the fact that Anxiang tried to kill Dong Ling. Weak as Dong Ling was, she would be dead after twenty flogging. How could she possibly survive?
Flog her? Never thought of it!
Ever since Dong Ling was born, few people managed to defeat her. Even if someone dared to tease her, she could take revenge later.
She was an orphan so that she never needed to respect elders in her family.
Therefore, she looked up at Mrs. Dong who sat elegantly beside Dong Yuan and gave a sarcastic smile.
She asked, “Dong Feixue has never called me Sister since she was born. Instead, she always calls me Bitch! She should have respected me. But as she offended me so much, don’t you think she should be flogged, too?”
If both of them were punished, Dong Ling would accept it.
But if anyone showed partiality, she wouldn’t await her doom!
