Chapter 519: Chapter 513: Decisive Judgment
The moment he opened his eyes, Finn Lewis seemed to feel something as if there was a physical entity that belonged to him about 10 meters away. To his left, he instinctively turned his head, but there was nothing there, just a wall.
Finn, who had just stood up from the Genetic Cultivation Cabin, felt indescribable. He felt his brain turned much more agile, but these were not important. Henry Lewis was waiting below, and McDon Taylor and Laura Rhodes were also there.
“Big Brother, are you all right?” McDon Taylor started calling Fin ‘brother’ alongside Laura Rhodes. Finn chuckled, reached out to touch McDon’s head, and asked, “Are you okay? How have you been these past few days?”
“Um, it’s nice here… but, what is this place? Is it a subterranean base? Will it always be this safe?” Laura looked up at Finn, her eyes filled with anticipation.
“Yes, it will always be safe,” Finn reassured, flashing a smile. “You guys rest first. I have something to take care of.”
“Okay.” Both McDon and Laura obediently nodded, then followed a robot out of the room.
Once they left, Finn turned back to Henry and asked, “So, did it succeed?”
“Yes, sir, it was a success,” answered Henry Lewis respectfully. Upon hearing this, Finn couldn’t contain his excitement and threw a hard punch into the air. “However, the modulation work of the Worker Bee Queen is not yet complete. It will probably take more than two months to finish.”
Henry added, “Is there any major issue?” Finn quickly asked. He was naturally anxious as it was related to his future. Despite having a single Worker Bee Queen to his name, for the Insect Species like Icarus, a cultured Worker Bee Queen could create a new breed and given enough time, it could possibly dominate an entire galaxy! Such is the horror of the Icarus Insect Species!
“There’s no significant issue, the genetics of the Icarus Insect Species are extremely powerful in their evolution. They’re a race that has incorporated countless other optimized genes from various organisms. Therefore, their genes have a strong degree of plasticity, so none of these are problematic. However, since we’re adjusting from the fundamental Genetic Map, it will take some time. Plus, this is the only specimen we have,” Henry answered earnestly.
Finn nodded. After Henry finished speaking, Finn asked, “Did Zero pass on all information regarding the Icarus Insect Species to you?”
“I believe so. I have instructed all T2500 model intelligent robots to backup all information to prevent any risk to you, sir.” Olivia Thatcher’s voice echoed in the room.
“Olivia, long time no see,” Finn guffawed.
“As far as I’m concerned, it has only been more than a day since you came to this new six-dimensional space-time. The time flow speed difference between the two is approximately 1:30. You spent three days in the Genetic Cultivation Cabin. So in my perception, you spent more time in the cabin,” Olivia added with a smile.
Finn shrugged, perhaps it was just the peculiarity of the six-dimensional space. “Take me to see the Worker Bee Queen. Is it in the next room?” Finn asked, pointing in the direction he sensed.
“Yes, sir.” Henry nodded, then led the way to the next room. As the door opened, Finn saw that the room was larger than the one he was in, and the Genetic Cultivation Cabin was also colossal compared to his. The Worker Bee Queen floating in the purple-green liquid of the Genetic Cultivation Cabin seemed more intricate than the one he was in. Its tough armor seemed removed, replaced by numerous organs constantly moving and regenerating.
Normally, the sight would have disgusted Finn, but instead, he felt an inexplicable sense of affinity as though it were a part of his own body. He also sensed innumerable consciousnesses sleeping within the Genetic Cultivation Cabin, each seemingly individual, yet part of a whole. Without exception, they all felt like an extension of his body. Looking at the Worker Bee Queen before him, Finn was thrilled. This meant he had his first true power. Not just from the mysterious alien who chased him. Finn wasn’t the type to wait for death.
Although he now has Zero, aside from whether Zero could defeat the alien, Finn didn’t forget that his life was still in Zero’s hands. But now, this Worker Bee Queen gave him the resources to resist Zero. In desperation, Finn would even consider covertly cultivating these creatures on Earth. He knew that even in the other dimension, Zero was not confident that it could handle an Insect Species outbreak.
Granted, Finn acknowledged that the Insect Species had evolved for many years in the other dimension which was not comparable to his situation. But now, at least he had his own power to control. He knew that using Zero’s power came with a price, whereas the power of the Insect Species — as long as he had enough resources — could continue to grow.
There’s no need to worry about betrayal or insincerity from the Insect Species, as they are entirely loyal.
“Alright, let’s go,” Finn said after staring deeply at the Worker Bee Queen. He then turned and left the room.
After leaving the room and musing for a while, Finn finally broke the silence. “Zero, I’ve completed the mission; this second Six-Dimensional Saiyan Crystal is my trophy, right?”
“Yes.” Zero’s voice rang in response.
“Good. I want to know if there are other Sparkling Crystals that the Six-Dimensional Saiyan space-time can connect to?” Finn asked.
“Not possible. Every six-dimensional space-time coordinate is extremely precise. Even a slight deviation would lead to a completely different six-dimensional space-time,” came Zero’s curt reply. Finn fell into deep thought and by Zero’s explanation, even if he didn’t fully understand six dimensions, he could somewhat imagine it as a bag full of grains of rice where each grain represented different space-times.
