Super Electric Eel Avatar - Chapter 246 - The First Encounter
When faced with that bitter cold murderous aura, even a massive creature like the electric eel shuddered. The expression of a warrior was certainly different from that of a scoundrel’s.
For example, if a warrior participated in horrible killings, then during a showdown, the ruthless violence in his eyes would be like an exceptional blade within a broken box. Regardless of the warrior’s attempts to conceal it, it would still seep through the cracks.
This was a lapel badge, which was earned only from one’s witnessing countless deaths. Hence, it was a record of their glory days, a hymn composed with fresh blood and courage.
“Barru, don’t be hasty!” Argyll, who stood behind him frowned, as he said softly, “Judging by its quick-witted eyes and expression, I strongly believe that the beast’s intelligence has been activated.”
“So, what if it has quick-witted eyes?” Barru waved his hand calmly, signalling Argyll to step back. “Did you see how clumsy it looked, while it was climbing over?”
At this moment, there was a change in the atmosphere. The beast that they were talking about now observed them carefully, before slowly moving its massive body to curl into a crescent shape, stopping about 50 meters in front of them.

Barru and Argyll had yet to decide if they wanted to make a preemptive strike. Beyond the coastline, a dark green armored personnel carrier, with digital camouflage coating, was being driven over.
“What is that thing? How is it actually a few times faster than a carriage?”
“Judging from the sound of it, it must be some type of mechanical carriage, but I’m not too sure about the source of its driving force.”
Barru hissed. “It is actually made out of metal!” When the armored vehicle got closer, Barru’s eyes almost popped out of their sockets. “Argyll, look at the craftsmanship of that carriage. It is absolutely perfect. Those edges and corners are cooler than my expensive big knife!”
Without thinking about anything else, the both of them were completely mesmerized by the strength and finesse of this armored vehicle. The more they looked at it, the more they praised it!
I want to steal it, even if it costs me my life!” Barru’s eyes were glued to the vehicle, for he could not tear his eyes away from its beauty.
“Nonsense!” Argyll refused such silly talk squarely. “For a machine to be so perfect, possessing structures so complex, it could be considered a miracle. Can’t you tell how much energy the owner has put into it? If you steal it, it would be odd if they didn’t kill you! Look at the behavior of the beast again. Isn’t it unusual? It is probably the pet of the person who owns that very carriage!”
Clank!
Suddenly, a circular shaped crack opened up at the top plate of the mechanical carriage, which was initially sealed tight. As they stared intently at it, an odd-looking long black metal came reaching out, followed by the appearance of a short-haired young man, who stuck his head out and shouted at them in a strange language.
“Honorable gentlemen, we have come from the distant West of China by boat, and were ready to catch two wind rider birds. However, if you do not wish for us to be here, we can leave right away.” Argyll spread his hands out slowly, hoping to make an act of apology that they could understand.
The anxious Barru directed a strong glare at him, before whispering in a voice that could only be heard by the two of them, “Are you still sleeping or what? This brat’s physique is obviously under-developed. With just one swing from your wind blade, followed by my warding them off for a short while, you could take out that snail-like creature easily! Wouldn’t we be able to successfully hijack the mechanical carriage that way?”
“Idiot! What can you understand with that pea-sized brain of yours?” Argyll kicked him, yet he was still gazing at the young man warmly.
The young man with the strange clothes was none other than Chen Fan. When he had gotten up from bed this morning and rode the electric eel to head towards the golden eagle Cloudracer, he had noticed a small black dot moving on the surface of the sea. As the electric eel pursued closer, only then did he realize that it was a wooden boat made out of the very finest workmanship.
This discovering of humans, who had sailed their boats here, could only mean that this place was similar to earth, where human colonization exists. However, the level of technology of the people here appeared to be rather far behind, as they still relied on the primitive methods of wind sailing and manpower as their driving forces.
What really surprised Chen Fan was Barru. This guy was almost a beast himself, for he appeared to be very tall and strong. In fact, he could even compete with those silverback gorillas in terms of size alone.
In order to make contact with the both of them, Chen Fan gathered all of his courage and thought about it again and again. He felt that, as they were all intellectual beings, why not try to understand each other?
Of course, one could have the intention to harm others, so one must also be vigilant, so as not to be harmed. Otherwise, Chen Fan would not have hid in his armoured personnel vehicle and greeted them with machine guns.
Strictly speaking, however, these were still just minor issues. What would really require a one-hit kill would be the electric eel, which was dozens of meters away from them and 130 meters away from the armored car. Within this distance, only 70,000 volts of voltage was needed to puncture them, not to mention the fact that the electric eel could now emit 120,000 volts of voltage!
“How do you do? Hello? Bonjour……” Chen Fan was racking his brain, trying to think of greetings in different languages. Unfortunately, the two people across from him were similar to him, whereby they also had confused gazes, as they were unable to understand what the opposite party was saying as well!
“This won’t do. I’ve tried five different languages, including my own local dialect, but this mysterious young man still can’t understand me!” Argyll mumbled, while wiping off beads of sweat from his forehead. After all, he was not a linguist, so all he could do after now was to just stare.
“I want to kill him!” Barru was continuously running his huge shifty eyes up and down the armored vehicle.
“I think the probability of you getting killed is higher than you killing him!” Argyll shook his head, then walked towards the wooden boat. “Let’s get back to the boat first. Later tonight, we’ll go around to the other side of the island, capture a wind rider bird, then then decide what we’ll do after that.”
“Hey, old buddy, what’s so scary about that big worm? Just one spell of yours would be enough to pierce through its brain. Then, everything would be settled, right?”
Argyll was frowning deeply, while leaning on a deer hide mattress. It was unclear whether he was mumbling to himself or answering Barru’s question. “At first, I was surprised as to why this magical beast, which is almost the weight of a giant dragon, would move so clumsily. But, when it positioned its body horizontally, allowing me to see its tail, I finally realized that it was actually a sea creature.”
“It would be odd for a sea creature to survive, once it got on land. But, what really made me nervous was that I could only faintly perceive the presence of the Thunder Element from the magical beast!”
