Chapter 496: Chapter 496: Become a God

Qin Wu clenched his fists, his hair drifting down as his face bled. Sword Qi slashed across his cheek, the bright red Divine Blood glistening and splendid, flowing like scarlet ribbons.

“You… good, good, good!” He gritted his teeth, his body radiating splendid silver light, and his hair stood on end. This was truly a tremendous dishonor.

“Is this a god?” Shi Hao held the Magic Sword, stepping through the void as he pursued him.

Hearing this, Qin Wu’s blood surged violently, rushing to the crown of his head, nearly bursting out of his body. His face flushed with humiliation and outrage, humbled by an ordinary person.

In particular, a piece of his earlobe had been sliced off, almost completely cut away. Such immense disgrace was beyond words. His ears bled, the crimson tinged with silver light, dripping continuously, exuding a morbid beauty.

A fire burned in Qin Wu’s chest, and his face turned livid. The mortal before his eyes dared to swing his sword at a god, wounding his face, cutting him, and speaking arrogantly. He couldn’t bear it.

“Run.” Shi Hao followed, speaking thus, his voice airy yet domineering. His robe fluttered, his fighting spirit soared to the heavens, his entire being like a born Divine Demon.

Qin Wu’s face turned alternately green and white. An ordinary person speaking to him in such a way, telling him to run–what an insult, smacking of both contempt and insolence, in his defiance of the divine.

But he truly didn’t dare to linger, for the small pagoda just over an inch tall was terribly fearsome, its origin too significant, enough to alarm even the Heavenly Venerate of the higher realms.

Should he dare to turn and fight, he would surely perish.

In fact, he had no qualifications to battle the pristine white pagoda. They were not on the same level; it was a true titan capable of throwing Heaven and Earth into chaos.

Qin Wu rushed towards the Five Elements Mountains, his heart filled with frustration. For that mortal told him to flee, and he was actually doing so, feeling utterly ashamed and without dignity.

He prided himself as a god, looking down upon the mortal world. For many years, he’d been revered from on high, worshipped by all he met. But today, he’d been rendered so pathetic.

“Gods are like this after all, knowing only how to flee, unworthy of any nobility,” Shi Hao said, his words laced with biting coldness, mixed with disdain.

Silver glints flickered in Qin Wu’s eyes, his vital energy and spirit surge wildly, his hair dancing chaotically, as if aflame. For someone in the Lower Realm to humiliate him so, he couldn’t swallow his pride.

“You will pay for your arrogant words!” he said with a cold voice.

“Shiit!”

Shi Hao raised his hand, the Magic Sword crystalline, lightning pulsing along its edge as he slashed forward.

This Nation Guardian Artifact, forged from Heaven Rank Beast Bone, now transformed into a golden Suan Ni, majestic and powerful, roaring towards the heavens, swallowing the essence of sun and moon, unleashing boundless lightning.

With a dong, torrents of lightning burst forth–a dazzling electric arc, all immensely thick, enveloping Qin Wu.

This was Divine Level power, the might of a Magic Artifact, capable of evaporating great rivers and leveling vast mountain ranges, its power boundless. Were it not for the Immortal Mountain with its various Divine Spirit Formations in place, this vast pure land would have been reduced to ash, leaving nothing behind.

“Snap!”

Qin Wu turned and struck back with his palm, contending the Heavenly Tribulation.

Silver characters formed between his fingers, representing his natural laws, blocking the lightning, shattering the electric bolts.

“Buzz!”

The void quivered, a great collapse ensuing, with silver light flowing like rivers in the sky, intertwining with the electric brilliance in a fierce collision, resounding thunderously.

As a god, Qin Wu should’ve been able to Suppression Kill an ordinary person in one hit, not needing such a struggle, but he couldn’t inflict harm while the Little Pagoda stood guard, leaving it tranquil.

Instead, the golden streak of lightning broke through, crashing down upon him, charring his shoulder black, his radiant hair standing on end, his body shaking violently.

Qin Wu raged, repeatedly suffering indignities, desecrated by a mortal, as if a furnace within him had exploded, a constant flow of fiery torment.

“You dare to commit sacrilege. In the future, you will surely die and be forever buried in the land of destruction,” he hissed through clenched teeth. An inexplicable silver radiance spread, diffusing around him, turning into ripples.

“A mere false god dares to swear by divinity, overestimating himself,” the Little Pagoda said, hanging in Shi Hao’s hair, swaying gently. With a mere hint of its aura, it evaporated the silver ripples.

Those ripples, akin to a Curse, contained a mystical force, could cling to a person, enduring perpetually, to one day erupt and plunge their divine soul into downfall.

Qin Wu’s scalp exploded with fear. Scolded by the Little Pagoda, he dared not retort. While he stood proud above the mortal realm, looking down upon Venerables, his heart harbored a deep fear for this snow-white jade-like Pagoda.

Retreating hastily, Qin Wu felt a chilling terror, his face pale, his heart filled with foreboding. For the first time, such panic engulfed him, fearing he might fall right there.

“Where is my grandfather?” Shi Hao pursued, asking loudly, lifting his wrist, the sword pointing at Qin Wu’s head.

Qin Wu’s expression shifted violently, wanting to rage, but catching sight of the Little Pagoda among Shi Hao’s hair, his heart filled with fear, his emotions complex and painful. How could he yield to an ordinary person’s questions?

“This is Immortal Mountain, overseen by Heavenly Venerate from the higher realms, and suppressed by the Five Elements Mountain Peak in the Lower Realm. You should think carefully!” His words were frosty, and afterward, he clenched his teeth hard.

“Shiit!”

Shi Hao swept out with his sword, the blade’s light rainbow-like. With such an attack today, what was there to fear? Even if the Heavenly Venerate descended to this realm from the higher realms, he would have no regrets.

He would shatter Immortal Mountain today, find his kin, and turn heaven and earth upside down!

The icy gaze of Qin Wu, who prided himself as a god, flared with anger. Despite his fear of the Little Pagoda, he couldn’t bear being pursued and oppressed by a mortal like this.

A silvery radiance burst from his body, Mana flowing like rivers in the void, turning the sky into a blank expanse.

Alas, with a single tremor from the Little Pagoda, the silver light shattered, leaving only Shi Hao’s eternal sword light sweeping forward, approaching Qin Wu dazzlingly close.

“Pu!”

A flash of blood, and Qin Wu’s arm was severed, emitting a great scream, his face contorting and turning fierce.

As a god, such excruciating experiences had never before marred his existence, to actually lose an arm was unimaginable. After attaining enlightenment many years ago, this was his most grievous injury.

Even though he was fleeing, he was exerting every effort, his body emitting bursts of silver light, attempting to regain control of that arm and reattach it.

However, a flash of swordlight severed the connection, dooming him to lose an arm.

Qin Wu roared, his body glowing. At this moment, he gritted his teeth and acted ruthlessly; even if the arm of God’s Hand was destroyed, he would not let it fall into the hands of his enemy–it was a symbol of his humiliation.

With a bang, the arm exploded into a vibrant silver radiance that filled the heavens and the earth, like the silver flames of the Heavenly Realm pulsating, filled with sacred power.

“Five Elements, omnipresent, nothing that cannot be broken, no thoughts that cannot be extinguished, burn!”

Qin Wu chanted the incantation, a terrible divine technique carrying the force of a curse, blasting backward in an effort to use his arm as a sacrifice to cripple Shi Hao.

Unfortunately, the attempt was in vain once again. Little Pagoda did not act, and Shi Hao himself radiated an inexplicable aura, a mysterious halo spreading from his chest, with tumultuous vibrations.

Inside Shi Hao, a vigorous life force emerged, filled with joy–as if yearning and eagerly wanting the burst of silver light.

As if on a canvas, the void trembled within the divine power. Shi Hao’s chest bone glowed, emitting chanting sounds, as a small person, about the height of a fist, sat cross-legged on a bone, channeling infinite essence from the surroundings into its body.

In the sky, the shattered arm and burning divine blood turned into strands of light, drawn together and absorbed into a silver river.

Qin Wu’s expression changed as the essence of life contained in that arm drifted away, now harnessed by someone else.

Like trickling streams, or as if sweet dew descended from heaven, all converged toward Shi Hao’s chest, sinking into the chanting area, nourishing Shi Hao’s Supreme Bone.

Qin Wu howled in fury, utterly unwilling to accept it. Even though his arm had been severed and destroyed beyond recovery, he still did not want Shi Hao to assimilate it.

This was a disgrace; as a god, every part of him was divine–how could he tolerate an ordinary person desecrating it, using him as nourishment?

If this were to spread, he would be unable to lift his head for the rest of his life.

He activated the curse, hoping to cause Shi Hao, who was refining his divine blood, to erupt and descend forever into the doomed lands.

Yet, the force of the curse was unable to approach; the incantations he chanted collapsed, the natural laws failing to take shape, with only a faint halo emerging, which was extremely weak.

At this moment, Shi Hao felt extremely comfortable, with a complete spirit and abundant physical strength, as if he was light as air. The essence required by that piece of bone was significantly replenished all at once.

This was not devouring, but a form of extraction and refinement. The precious bone glowed brightly, and on it, a small person sat like a dazzling sun.

The small person inhaled and exhaled essence, emitting auspicious scarlet, enveloping the bone. It released a mysterious undulation in the void, refining the light and divine blood from the exploding arm, taking neither flesh nor bone, purely sanctifying.

It only took the essence of the natural laws contained by the arm, turning it into silver light that flowed into Shi Hao’s chest, becoming a rich divine power.

In a short amount of time, the bone absorbed all of the silver divine essence cleanly.

“Lowly god, you are too weak; how meager is your divine power,” Shi Hao said.

Qin Wu flew into a rage, belittled by an ordinary person he had once looked down upon. The humiliation was unbearable, his chest filled with fury.

Although most of the divine power from that arm had dissipated into the void, a portion had been absorbed by Shi Hao. This was the most unacceptable outcome for Qin Wu, and being mocked in such a way was even harder to bear.

“Bang!”

While fleeing, he cast a natural law behind him. Then he erupted with divine majesty, intending to seek refuge at the Five Elements Mountain.

However, he suddenly felt a chill; for unknown reasons, no matter how long he flew, he seemed never to get any closer to the Five Elements Mountain Peak. It didn’t seem very far, but it was as though he could never reach the other shore.

He had already exploded forth, burning his divine power, the silver light intensely brilliant, willing to shatter this area and make it seem as though heaven and earth were about to collapse.

Yet, he could not reach the Five Elements Mountain Peak.

In the distance, two Venerable Ones screamed in shock, trembling and prostrating on the ground, filled with immeasurable fear and a sense of apocalyptic terror. With their god defeated in such a manner, how could they resist? They were out of control, shuddering in trepidation.

Further away, Qin Hao pressed his lips together, silent, protected by his divine war garment, staying out of sight at the edge.

Qin Wu finally discovered a wall blocking his path, formed of radiant characters, dazzling and resonating with the aura of spatial natural laws, impenetrable.

“Where is my grandfather?” Shi Hao demanded.

“He’s unharmed, alive!” Qin Wu clenched his teeth, his face ashen, replying in such a way, though not answering directly, amounted to an implied concession.

“Ci!”

Hearing his reply, Shi Hao’s eyebrows shot up in fierce anger. With another flash of Sword Qi, “Pu!” fresh blood splattered, severing Qin Wu’s other arm.

At the same time, the chanting sounds rose again from Shi Hao’s chest, where a sphere of light encompassed a small fist-sized person, releasing waves of mysterious natural laws.

That arm had already exploded, turning into the purest essence, entering the Supreme Bone beneath the small person, filling the area with a rich vitality.
