My Wife, The Ice Queen President - Chapter 40: Germaphobia is a Disease
‘Just what kind of attitude is this?’
‘I still haven’t taken revenge on him for making me eat a cow’s p*nis the other night; I still haven’t taken revenge on him for scamming eighty thousand bucks from my cousin, and I still haven’t punished him for making me wait here for more than an hour, but he has the audacity to get mad at me instead?’
This attitude of Ye Xiong had irritated Yang Xinyi greatly.
“My aunt is coming to Jiangnan today, and she wants us to accompany her for dinner. Oh yeah, my uncle’s coming as well. Both of them are important people, so I really hope that you’ll act properly tonight,” Yang Xinyi said coldly.
“Time and location.”
“Fenghua Grand Hotel, Seven o’clock sharp. Return home at five-thirty, then accompany me out to meet them. Don’t raise any suspicions,” Yang Xinyi reminded.

“Anything else? If not, I’ll be taking my leave.” Ye Xiong stood up after completing the sentence.
He really needed to explain himself to Du Yuehua, as she would continue hurting unless he did something.
However, just as Ye Xiong was about to walk away, a silhouette appeared in front of him. Who else could this person be but Du Yuehua?
Du Yuehua had been thinking in her room for quite some time, and at long last, she had decided to catch a glimpse of Ye Xiong’s wife. By doing so, not only would she seem less guilty, but she could also make a statement to Ye Xiong that their relationship was that of ordinary friends. As such, she would not meddle in his marital affairs.
“Sister Hua, what brings you here?” Ye Xiong asked in puzzlement.
“Why not?” Du Yuehua rolled her eyes at him. However, the moment her gaze landed on Yang Xinyi’s face, Du Yuehua immediately froze.
‘Yang Xinyi? How?’
Within Jiangnan City’s business world, almost everyone was aware of the business prodigy that was Yang Xinyi. She was unmatched in her looks, her intellect, her personality, and her credentials, and for several years in a row, she had been designated as one of the Top Ten Most Influential Young Adults within Jiangnan City, and at times, she had even made it to the list of Top Ten Most Influential Young Adults within the province.
While Du Yuehua considered herself as an accomplished individual, compared to Yang Xinyi, she felt that she was several levels below her league.
Several times, during the personal evaluations of the business world, Du Yuehua had always fallen short of Yang Xinyi. As such, Yang Xinyi had made a lasting impression on Du Yuehua. Despite that, she took her defeat whole-heartedly. After all, she knew that there was no other woman who was as capable as Yang Xinyi in Jiangnan City.
Du Yuehua had assumed Ye Xiong’s wife was, at most, only slightly well-off, and that his wife would be far inferior to her. However, never in her wildest dreams had she imagined his wife to be Yang Xinyi.
Initially, a small sliver of hope still remained within Du Yuehua’s heart, but after learning that his wife was Yang Xinyi, she became totally despondent.
Not only did Du Yuehua lose out to Yang Xinyi in looks and wealth, but she had also been married before. With all these inferiorities, what right did she have to go against Yang Xinyi?
A million thoughts ran through Du Yuehua’s mind in that instant. She had frozen up and had even forgotten to greet Yang Xinyi.
“Greetings, President Du. It seems we meet again,” Yang Xinyi greeted matter-of-factly.
“What a surprise! I didn’t expect Ye Xiong’s wife to be president Yang,” Du Yuehua spoke with a bitter tone.
“Surely you jest, President Du.” Just by looking at Du Yuehua’s expression, Yang Xinyi had already determined that Ye Xiong’s relationship with her was nothing ordinary. She paused for a moment before continuing, “There’s something I wish to clarify to you, President Du, and I hope that you could keep this matter a secret as well. Actually, my marriage with Ye Xiong is fake. It’s just a ruse to prevent my father from forcibly making me marry He Haodong. Since it’s only an internal agreement among the both of us, we aren’t actually husband and wife.”
“Really?” Du Yuehua was overjoyed. However, she soon realized that her reaction was a tad aggressive and she immediately explained, “It’s just that I didn’t expect you two to have this kind of relationship. I’m sorry for being rude.”
After she explained herself, Du Yuehua rolled her eyes at Ye Xiong. It was as if she was scolding Ye Xiong for not saying anything earlier, and that she had shed tears for nothing.
Yang Xinyi was truly a master at reading people. All it took was a few simple glimpses for her to understand that Du Yuehua was interested in Ye Xiong. This was quite a surprise for Yang Xinyi.
Yang Xinyi was quite familiar with Du Yuehua. Although Du Yuehua had already been married once before, she had always kept a pure body and mind. She was both strong and responsible, and it was for this reason that she had managed to go against He Haodong and retain her hotel for half a year.
From Yang Xinyi’s understanding, Du Yuehua’s net worth was at least one billion. At present, the crowd of males who were fawning over her was like fish in the river. They wanted to win her heart over as obtaining it would be akin to getting actual treasure. However, who would have expected the rascal, Ye Xiong, to actually win her over.
Yang Xinyi was quite surprised at this, as it showed that her fake husband was not completely useless.
“And here I thought I would need to explain it to you.” Ye Xiong chuckled and continued, “Sister Hua, it’s getting late. So, I’ll be leaving now.”
“Alright, you guys go on ahead then!” Du Yuehua nodded.
By the time Ye Xiong had entered Yang Xinyi’s car, his mood had improved greatly.
He did not expect Yang Xinyi to voluntarily clarify their current circumstances to Du Yuehua so that her misunderstanding would be resolved. From this action alone, Ye Xiong was already beginning to look at Yang Xinyi in a new light.
“I thank you, my dear wife,” Ye Xiong giggled. He then continued. “Rest assured, I’ll put on a good show tonight. My performance will be Oscar-worthy.”
“Noted!” Yang Xinyi nodded, but her expression was as cold as usual.
“Du Yuehua’s a good woman. If you like her, then you’d better treat her well, as you should thank your blessings for winning her heart,” Yang Xinyi suddenly stated.
“My relationship with Sister Hua is purely platonic. It’s not as complex as you’re making it out to be,” Ye Xiong explained.
“I’m not Tang Ning. I won’t be fooled that easily. Du Yuehua’s eyes tell me all I need to know,” Yang Xinyi spat angrily.
“Are you jealous, my dear wife?”
“Jealous because of you?” Yang Xinyi snorted. ‘What a joke,’ she thought.
“My dear wife, I personally think that you’ve been afflicted with a terrible disease.” Ye Xiong’s expression suddenly turned serious. “In the west, they have a disorder that makes them incapable of love. Pay attention, I’m saying that you’re incapable of love, but not incapable of sex, so, please look it up whenever you’re free.”
“You’re the one who’s incapable of love,” Yang Xinyi chided as she rolled her eyes.
“For someone as affectionate as me, there’s only an overflow of love.” Ye Xiong spun his head around and looked at her in the eyes. While smiling, he said, “For a woman like you who’s young, beautiful, educated, and exceedingly wealthy, just how many men are worthy of you? Furthermore, you’re also a germaphobe, and as such, it’s only natural for you to be incapable of love.”
“You’re the germaphobe.” Yang Xinyi glared at him. Ye Xiong’s words were becoming more and more exaggerated.
“If you aren’t a germaphobe, why would you make such a ruckus vomiting just because you drank a little bit of my saliva? If you aren’t a germaphobe, why would you vomit like a gushing stream just because you ate two pieces of cow p*nis…”
Hearing his words alone had caused Yang Xinyi’s stomach to become upset again. ‘Damned rascal, do you have a death wish? You know I hate talking about matters like these, and still, you’re bringing it up!’
“My dear wife, I’m actually doing this for your own good. Remember, when you first drank my saliva, you vomited continuously for half-an-hour. However, when you ate cow p*nis the other night, you had only vomited for a dozen or so minutes. Now, what does this imply? It means that you’re starting to adapt. Germaphobia is a disease that must be tended to, and as such, I’m doing this for your own good. What if there comes a day when you finally do it with the man you love? Wouldn’t you just vomit again if he kisses you?”
“After learning to accept kisses, then comes intercourse. Once you’ve accepted the kiss, wouldn’t it be easier to accept the latter?” Ye Xiong was going off like a flowing river.
“I’m giving you a grave warning, I AM NOT GERMAPHOBIC.” Yang Xinyi felt that she would go mad if she listened to his words any further.
“You’re like a patient who’s intentionally hiding their ailments from the doctor. Fine, if you really insist on not being germaphobic, then give me a kiss. I’ll consider you non-germaphobic if you don’t vomit…”
“…”
