My brother is an Idol - Chapter 84
Chapter 84
Mikyung had an unreadable expression on her face. She looked at Hyoyoung, Hyojun, and Kiwook, before asking Hyoyoung in a trembling voice.
“H… how c-could you… do t-this to me…?”
Jiwoo stepped in, “Hey, lady, I’m so sorry, but it couldn’t be helped.”
“Jiwoo Oppa? You are Red M? Not The M’s manager?”
“I… I was going to tell you everything that day at the café…”
When Jiwoo tried to explain, Mikyung replied sarcastically, “Wow, I can’t believe this! The Ahn siblings… and every member of The M. All liars, huh?”

Hyoyoung finally opened her mouth, “Mikyung, it’s not like that…”
“Hey, Hyoyoung. Just shut up. As of today, we are no longer friends. Have a nice life with your M oppas. You are such a b*tch.”
Mikyung glared at Hyoyoung coldly and turned around to leave.
“Mikyung!”

Seeing Mikyung leave and hearing her say they were no longer friends, all Hyoyoung could think was to get to Mikyung.
Hyoyoung couldn’t see anyone else. She didn’t even notice Myunghee anymore. She barely felt Kiwook and Hyojun grasping her arms and shoulders.
All Hyoyoung could see was Mikyung leaving her.
“Mikyung, wait!”
Hyoyoung ran after her, not even realizing that one of her shoes came off. But as soon as she grabbed Mikyung’s hand, she flinched and let go because the way Mikyung looked at her was freezing.
Mikyung asked quietly, “Why?”
“Mikyung…”
“Do you still have more lies to tell me?”
“Please listen to me…”
“Did you not tell me because you didn’t have the time?”
“No, it’s…”
“Of course not, you had plenty of time to tell me. It wasn’t that you didn’t have the time… you just chose not to tell me the truth.”
“I had a good reason for it.”
“Oh, of course! But you know what, Hyoyoung? Everyone has a good reason for everything, but a true friend…. you would be able to, and you would want to, tell your best friend these things. I mean, isn’t that what a true friend does?”
“Mikyung…”
“And I get it. There ARE some secrets that you can’t tell, even to your best friend. I get that, but…”
“…”
“If that’s the case, you shouldn’t lie.”
“Mikyung, I’m sorry.”
“I asked you so many times not to lie to me… to stop lying to me, yet you did it again. This is beyond the matter of friendship. It is a matter of being a good, decent person.”
“I was going to tell you.”
“Oh, is that so? When? After Myunghee Shin releases the truth to the media? After the reporters come to me and ask about you, Purple M’s girlfriend and Black M’s sister?”
“No, just listen to me…”
“What would be the point of listening to you? Your brother is Black M. You are Purple M’s girlfriend. Red M lied to me that he is The M’s manager. What else is there?”
“Mikyung… please.”
“Please? Is that all you can say to me now? Ha! You’re hilarious, Hyoyoung. All of you… you are all liars. Frauds. Wearing masks to hide your face is one thing, but lying? Just now, I loved my best friend and my idol. I can’t think clearly, and I just don’t feel like chatting with frauds and liars. So, just get lost. Keep lying to everyone since that is what you are good at, Hyoyoung. Just keep telling yourself you had to do it. Keep telling yourself that it was because you were too busy, because you had no other choice, and because you had ‘good reasons.’ Good luck to you.”
Hyoyoung trembled in fear as she listened to Mikyung. Mikyung didn’t scream. She seemed calm, not even angry anymore. She pulled her hand back from Hyoyoung’s grasp and walked away without looking back.
Hyoyoung shivered and hugged herself. She didn’t know what to do. It wasn’t a cold day, yet she felt so cold like she had been swept away by a violent ocean wave. She felt like she was drowning; she couldn’t move her hands or feet and she could barely breathe.
Hyoyoung didn’t care who Mikyung might tell about this incident. About Hyoyoung and The M. All she could feel now was pain. Mikyung’s sharp words were like knives, cutting deep into her heart.
Hyoyoung was surprised that she didn’t faint just now. She was barely conscious when suddenly, she noticed what was happening behind her.
The M members and Myunghee. And there was another man.
President Kim.
The members and the president were cornering Myunghee. President Kim yelled angrily, “What do you think you are doing, Myunghee?!”
Slap!
The CEO slapped Myunghee, who fell to the ground.
The M members gasped. “President!”
“Oh my god! Don’t do that, sir!”
Just then, Myunghee suddenly started to pull her own hair and screamed, “Don’t!”
She sat on the ground and started to hit herself as she screamed, “Don’t! Please! Please don’t hit me! I’m sorry! It’s all my fault! I don’t do it again!”
No one was touching her, yet Myunghee continued to apologize and mutter to herself, “Please don’t hurt me. I’m sorry… It’s all my fault… I’m sorry…”
President Kim seemed shocked and confused.
“Hey, Myunghee Shin… What…? Why…?”
He tried to help her up, but Mikyung screamed louder and cringed.
“AHHH! Please! I’m sorry! Please don’t hit me! It hurts! I don’t want any more pain. I’ll be good. I won’t say anything to anyone. I’m sorry. I won’t do it anymore. I’ll be quiet. I’ll do whatever you ask!”
The M members also stared in shock. They didn’t know what to do, so they just watched Myunghee in confusion.
Just then, Hyoyoung walked to her and hugged her quietly.
“It’s ok, Myunghee. No one will hit you, so you can relax now. Don’t be afraid.”
Myunghee covered her face and sobbed while Hyoyoung kept hugging her and murmuring endearments. It seemed to help because Myunghee started to calm down. Hyoyoung continued to pat her back and gestured for The M members to leave. After a short hesitation, the four guys and the president left quietly.
The concert was over and even the staff left after cleaning up the stage.
There was only Hyoyoung and Myunghee left.
When she could finally speak, Myunghee said to Hyoyoung quietly, “I’m not crazy.”
