Ms. Doctor Divine - Chapter 1366 - 1366 Something Happened
1366 Something Happened
He stiffened, and was startled for a long while before realizing that Chaoyan had just hugged him of her own accord. Then he chuckled, not looking as serious as before.
Fu Bao and Sword One were chuckling alongside as well.
On the other hand, Duke North watched the whole scene and tightly clenched his fists.
He did not like how Zhou Huaijin smiled.
!!
Since when did they start to get so close to each other? Was it because of what happened the day before?
He started to imagine what they had done in the room the night before, he turned pale and gradually twisted his face.
Lin Qin could not help but feel concerned about what was in front of them. He reminded him. “Duke North, it is getting very cold outside, what about going into the wagon and getting ready to leave.”
Only then did Duke North nod unwillingly as he went into the wagon.
Lin Qin shook his head.
That wasn’t right.
He had been praying for the Duke’s safety while they were fighting at the border, but though the Duke had survived the war, he had completely changed – what should they do in the future?
Duke North had a very stubborn belief in his head, and because of the belief, he could no longer face everything rationally.
Lady Chaoyan was engaged with Lord Huai, and they were in love with each other, which had nothing to do with Duke North. However, that was exactly what the Duke was concerned about.
Lin Qin dare not continue to think about that.
He hopped onto the wagon and hoped to arrive at the capital as soon as possible, so that Madame Duke could change the Duke’s thoughts, since he would definitely care about Madame Duke’s feelings.
Hopefully, it could work out in this way.
Soon, they continued forward.
They did not slow down for the rest of the trip.
Gu Chaoyan had not had a good sleep the night before, so she went into the wagon and decided to sleep.
When they arrived at the capital, it was already afternoon, and snow was still everywhere. The sky had turned very dark due to the heavy snow.
As they went through the gate, Zhou Huaijin asked Fu Bao to settle Duke North.
Fu Bao came to Lin Qin and said, “Guard Lin, Lord Huai has asked me to tell you that since Xinlin Mansion and Duke North Mansion are located in different directions, he is going to accompany Lady Chaoyan home directly whilst we will accompany you back to Duke North Mansion. Also, Li Qing will come with us and leave the prescriptions and medicine, so everything should be fine.”
Lin Qin nodded, thinking that Lord Huai’s arrangement was very proper.
Duke North should not meet Lady Chaoyan again.
He nodded. “Thanks.”
Fu Bao nodded.
He guarded the way for them.
Duke North, who was inside the wagon, released his grip gradually. He smiled briefly and went back to Duke North Mansion with the wagon.

On the other hand, Zhou Huaijin had already accompanied Gu Chaoyan back to the Xinlin Mansion.
After they arrived at Xinlin Mansion, Qing almost burst into tears upon seeing Sword One and her Elder Miss. She threw herself into their arms. Gu Chaoyan was not used to being close to other people, but she did not push Qing away, and instead patted her on the back, saying, “I am here safe and sound, okay?”
Qing cried and smiled, as she helped Sword One carry things inside.
“Elder Miss, I did not know when you would arrive home, so I had warm water prepared for the whole day. You must be very exhausted after the day’s trip. We have just arranged dinner, and we will eat soon,” Qing said as she walked.
Gu Chaoyan nodded.
She was very glad about all of this.
They were just walking when Fu Bao hurried to them. “Lady Chaoyan, something bad has just happened.”
