Mr. Brian Wants to Get Married Every Day - Chapter 12
Sophia was about to say something when Joseph moved his lips. He looked nervous and spoke to Olivia.
“Stacey, don’t take revenge on me. No matter how wrong I was, I’m still your husband. Moreover, I raised Olivia too. It’s all my fault that she became like this—”
Before Joseph could finish speaking, Sophia quickly covered his mouth to stop him from continuing. She looked at Olivia with a slightly evasive gaze, as if she was afraid of something.
Olivia was stunned by Sophia’s actions, and her eyes turned slightly red. It had been a long time since she had heard her mother’s name. Her mother had passed away early, and when her mother had still been alive, she lived like a princess.
At that time, Joseph had been treating her very well. After her mother’s death, Joseph had come back with Sophia and Hersha. At that time, Olivia had been 16 years old, and Sophia was only two years younger than her.
Perhaps it was because Sophia had covered Joseph’s mouth and nose too tightly that he suddenly coughed violently. His face turned red, and he instantly opened his eyes.

Since Joseph had woken up, Olivia turned around and was about to leave when she bumped into Hersha, who had just rushed to the hospital after a game of poker.
Hersha bumped into her, her eyes full of provocation.
“Oh, my dear mother, you’re here. Don’t blame my sister. If I didn’t fail to live up to expectations, she wouldn’t have used her shares to force the shareholders to dismiss me. If I hadn’t been dismissed, Dad wouldn’t have fainted. Mom, please don’t blame Olivia.”
Sophia’s eyes were red as if tears would roll down her face at any moment. Hersha’s head buzzed when she heard the word ‘dismissed’.
“Make yourself clear. What happened?”
Sophia stammered, “Sister came to the company for today’s shareholder meeting and suggested to dismiss me. The shareholders disagreed, so Olivia used 21% of the shares to pressure them. The shareholders then compromised, and Dad fainted from anger.”
Hersha was instantly enraged. She walked up to Olivia and gave her a slap.
“Little b*tch, do you really hate us that much? First, you came to find a debt collector agency to annoy us, and now you’re directly causing trouble in the company. What good are you doing this for? We’re still family. Aren’t you afraid that others will laugh at us?”
Olivia was stunned by the sudden slap. Hersha’s words made her want to laugh.
Olivia gave her a backhand slap and retorted, “Heh, family? You set me up to sleep with someone else, causing a ruckus at my wedding and entering the house right after my mother passed away. You’re really my good family. You’ve schemed against me and used me to gain benefits. Do you think you’re worthy of calling me family?” She paused for a moment before continuing. “Do you think I’m still the Olivia that you could bully as you wished in the past?”
Olivia gnashed her teeth as she spoke those words. She hated Hersha and her daughter for their insidiousness and hated Joseph for his cowardice.
In her previous life, Olivia might have believed this mother-daughter pair. It was precisely because of what had happened in her previous life that she was like this.
When Joseph woke up and saw Olivia, his vision darkened, and he was about to faint again.
“Honey, are you okay?”
Hersha held Joseph’s hand. Sophia was also acting like she was concerned about Joseph. Seeing the happy family, Olivia turned and left.
When she left the ward and walked to the first floor, she met her former nanny, Allie, who used to be in charge of her mother’s diet.
The nanny seemed to be afraid of seeing Olivia, so she pretended not to know her and walked into a ward.
Olivia felt strange. Allie used to dote on her a lot, so why was she pretending not to know her now?
After her mother’s death, Allie had disappeared without a trace. The doctor had told her that her mother died because of chronic poison, and when Olivia wanted to call the police, Joseph had stopped her.
Joseph had told Olivia that it was because her mother’s body was weak, and she had been taking medicine for a long time. The remaining medicine in her body was poisonous, resulting in a slow-acting poison. It was useless to call the police, so Olivia had given up.
Olivia walked to the door of the ward that Allie had just entered. Allie was sitting on the bed, patting her chest vigorously. Allie’s actions made Olivia very puzzled. She pushed open the door and walked in.
“Allie, why are you pretending not to know me? Why did you disappear into thin air after Mom died? You took care of Mom’s daily needs. Why did something happen?”
Olivia’s questions stumped Allie. She didn’t know how to answer them.
“I… I didn’t pretend not to know you. Your grandfather personally hired me to take care of your mother. After Ms. Garcia died, I had to leave my post.”
Ms. Garcia? There was something wrong with Allie’s address. Shouldn’t it be Mrs. Garcia? Joseph’s family name was Garcia, and he had married her mother. Her mother was naturally Mrs. Garcia.
“You called my mother Ms. Garcia?”
“That’s right. Your grandfather’s family name is also Garcia. Your father wasn’t originally a Garcia, but he changed it later on. He was a poor kid who had married into your mother’s family.”
Olivia was shocked by Allie’s words. She didn’t know about these things. Her maternal grandparents were even vaguer in her impression. She hadn’t even seen her maternal grandparents when she was reduced to that state in her previous life.
“Allie, didn’t my grandparents die long ago?”
“What nonsense are you talking about? They are all fine. How could they have passed away? It’s only because of Ms. Garcia that your relationship with the Garcia family has become distant.”
Was it because of her mother? How much of this was unknown to her? In her previous life, Olivia had listened to Hersha’s every word.
Olivia fell into deep thought and no longer spoke.
Allie felt guilty at the sight.
“Miss, I’m also responsible for this matter. Your mother had been my friend for many years, and she treated me like a sister. I’m not sure when it started, but her body became weaker and weaker.
“In the end, it actually ended up in a way that required your father’s medicine. Only by taking it for a long period of time would she be able to survive. The doctor said that your mother died from chronic poisoning. I always thought that it was because of a problem with my food that I was too ashamed to continue.”
There was too much information, and Olivia was having trouble digesting it. The medicine that her mother had been taking all along was actually a prescription that Joseph provided. Olivia felt that her mother’s death wasn’t that simple, and it was unlikely that Allie wanted to harm her mother.
“Allie, you must know my mother and father very well. Can you tell me how they met and why my grandparents were disappointed in my mother?”
