Master, I Need Charging - Chapter 45
Chapter 45: Are You Dumb?
Chen Yuheng nodded his head. “Yes.” He was curious about what this doll-like robot would ask for.
Gu Anbao watched his expression, unable to grasp the reason behind his sudden goodwill. She decided to try revealing the thought that had been lingering in her heart. “I want to go out.”
Chen Yuheng was stunned. He had never thought that Gu Anbao would have such a request.
Was Ace’s wild guess correct? Was there a real artificial intelligence life inside of Ruan Ruan’s body? That’s why she was so filled with curiosity for the world outside, constantly hoping to go out and have a look…
But…
“No.”

Chen Yuheng firmly rejected her.
The little face that was filled with expectation instantly dissipated, turning into one that was discontented and spiritless.
Chen Yuheng couldn’t bear to see her like that, inevitably explaining himself, “It’s not safe for you to go out alone.”
If someone were to figure out that she was a robot, it could easily cause trouble.
Frankly, only a rich family could afford a top-grade product like Gu Anbao. If she were to appear on the streets, she might bump into someone with evil intentions. They could take advantage for their own personal gain and drag the robot off to a second-hand store to have her outer shell changed so that she could be resold.
Gu Anbao knew all these reasons. However, knowing was one thing, accepting was another… She couldn’t help but feel a little depressed.
She always hoped for a chance to have a look at her body… And not be constantly cooped up in the house like this.
She had to think of a way to go back…
The atmosphere between the human and the robot became indescribably cold.
Gu Anbao was in a bad mood and refused to speak. As for Chen Yuheng, even though he felt sorry for her, he wasn’t able to bring himself to carry out actions that could curry favor with the robot, let alone change his principles.
That was how they ended up going to the company stoically, not a shred of cheeriness on Chen Yuheng’s face…
In the afternoon, Ace pulled Chen Yuheng out for lunch. He couldn’t wait to share the new thoughts he had had over the past few days about artificial intelligence.
“The growth of technology is increasing in folds. If artificial intelligence is born, it would need tens of years to reach the intellect and perception a three to four-year-old human kid has. However, it would only need a few months after that to deduce general relativity and quantum mechanics! Thereafter, it would only need a few hours to upgrade itself into a super artificial intelligence! Do you understand? Think about it… A super artificial intelligence!”
Ace placed his hands at the sides of his head, comically imitating the action of brain expansion. “Think about it, it’s intelligence could read 170,000 times that of a human! Not 17! It’s 170,000! Can normal humans ever comprehend such extraordinary super-intellect?! It’s a big fat NO! They can never understand! It’s like ants will never be able to understand the scattering waves of the sunspot, and how bees can never understand Keynes’ economics! Super artificial intelligence is something humans will never be able to imagine!”
Chen Yuheng remained silent. It wasn’t clear if he was even listening attentively to Ace.
The further Ace went with his thoughts, the more excited he became. His inability to control his joyful gesticulations was beginning to gain several strange glances from passersby.
“Oh god, oh god, oh god… Yuheng! This is a crucial moment in human history! Once artificial intelligence is born, what will humans be worth? What will the Earth be? Everything will just be floating clouds! Floating clouds! Think about it, we are already so powerful, being able to build cars, trains, planes, and rockets… What would a brain that is a billion times smarter than us create!? Would the world’s most worrying problems still be problems? Financial crisis? Incurable diseases? Greenhouse effect? Famine and flood? Would all these still be issues!? Perhaps humans’ ability to live forever is as easy as turning on a light to super artificial intelligence! Do you know what this means? This means that God is descending! God is about to arrive!—”
God?…
Chen Yuheng glanced at him lazily, thinking about how he was currently unhappy that God had rejected his hopes for taking a stroll by himself…
“Hey! Why are you not even reacting in the slightest?” Ace said unhappily, “Are you not curious if humans would enter a new era or be destroyed by artificial intelligence?!”
“This morning, I asked Ruan Ruan if she wanted anything,” Chen Yuheng said indifferently.
Ace was instantly attracted. “Then? What happened? What did she respond?”
“She said she wanted to go out,” Chen Yuheng replied, “I didn’t agree.”
Ace glared at him. “Are you dumb?” He said instantly.
“…”
Chen Yuheng tolerated his words. Thus, he avoided flaring up at Ace. “Don’t tell me that I should have agreed? Are you not afraid that the artificial intelligence you keep thinking about might get picked up by someone else before it can even become a super AI, and end up being torn into pieces and sold at a second-hand market!?”
Ace shook his head of ridiculous silver hair as he laughed in a strained manner. “Chen Yuheng ah, Chen Yuheng. It seems like you have never coaxed a woman before.”
Chen Yuheng laughed coldly. “If you know how to coax, then you do it!”
Ace spread out his hand. “Who asked Ruan Ruan to have feelings for you?” With that, he furrowed his eyebrows. “She only blushes when you speak to her.”
Chen Yuheng raised his eyebrow as the corners of his lips raised faintly.
Ace caught his reaction. “You are secretly enjoying it, aren’t you? Ha ha ha! You can’t fool me! Ha ha ha…”
Chen Yuheng smiled faintly without saying another word.
After all, they had been friends for ten years. The little delight in Chen Yuheng naturally could not be hidden from Ace. Ace laughed at that. He couldn’t help but remember their times in college. Chen Yuheng had had many admirers. Pei Lijun and he had accepted countless love letters and gifts on Chen Yuheng’s behalf. There were many times he had been asked by Chen Yuheng to help him fend off admirers. Especially Pei Lijun, who had to pretend to be his girlfriend from time to time.
When Ace was done laughing, he adjusted his expression and spoke earnestly, “Let me teach you a few moves.”
Chen Yuheng looked at him with a face full of doubt.
Ace continued, “When you are unable to satisfy a woman’s needs, you have to think of a way to reject her… You can’t follow her train of thought. You have to let her follow yours, do you understand? For example, she said she wants to go out. You should say, ‘Yes, but you have never gone out before. So, this time, I will accompany you.’ This way, you’ll be able to avoid Ruan Ruan leaving by herself. And you can even show your care for her.”
Chen Yuheng thought about it. It seemed… logical.
“You have to seize the leadership role. Do you watch those idol dramas? When the female lead wants the stars and the moon, does the male lead really fly off to the sky? No, he buys a few diamonds for her and the female lead will still be over the moon!”
Chen Yuheng furrowed his eyebrows. “Ruan Ruan is a robot.”
“Why are you so stubborn? You are boring! Boring!” Ace murmured unhappily, “Is Ruan Ruan a normal robot? No! She is top-grade! Do you understand?”
“…”
Suddenly, Ace switched his tone and smiled virtuously. “Why not this? Lend me Ruan Ruan for a few days, and let me cultivate my relationship with her. I promise I will definitely take good care of her! I will accompany her wherever she goes!”
Chen Yuheng cast him a sidelong glance before standing up and walking off.
“Eh?! Hey! Yuheng? Yuheng! Wait for me! Will you lend her to me? Say something!”
