- Chapter 1682 - See if Jiang Yi is Still Alive?
The Netherworld Realm had been around for a long time and had nurtured countless types of Netherworld Realm beings. These beings killed and consumed each other to transform and grow stronger, turning into many types of terrifying beings.
The Netherworld Thearch had thirty-six Netherworld Kings under him. These were actually Netherworld Kings with titles and positions; there were definitely more than this amount in actual fact. Below the Netherworld Kings were the Netherworld Generals. The Netherworld Generals were split into strong and weak ones. The skeletal giants, for example, were high-grade Netherworld Generals.
There were a few types of beings that were in the category between high-grade Netherworld Generals and Netherworld Kings; of course, they couldn’t be comparable to Netherworld Kings. The human race knew about twelve such kinds; the Ghost-Eyed Beast King was one of them.
True to its name, the Ghost-Eyed Beast King’s eyes were its most terrifying weapon. While Jiang Yi was flying, he saw a pair of bluish and ghostly huge eyes in the black fog ahead; he shuddered instinctively.
That pair of eyes were deadly, devilish, bloodthirsty, cruel… cold; all sorts of auras emitted from them. Jiang Yi felt that he had become a small lamb while this pair of eyes was that of a huge dragon’s. All the hairs on his body stood up as cold air coursed through his entire body.

The Ghost-Eyed Beast King’s body could not be seen; it was enshrouded in black fog with that pair of eyes hovering within it. Yun Bing and company surrounded the black fog as they kept on sending streaks of shooting stars at the eyes. However, the eyes were very fast; none of their attacks managed to hit them.
Swish!
A blue and ghastly light shot out from those eyes; accompanying the light was a ball of black fog. This light struck one of the commanders present as he immediately fainted and fell from the sky.
“What are you looking at? Hurry up and save him!”
Yun Bing saw that Jiang Yi had not moved as she shouted out furiously. Jiang Yi was startled as he shot forward and headed towards that fallen commander.
However, he had not even gotten close when in the distance, yet another commander fell. The blue and ghastly light’s speed was so fast. As these two commanders were not yet King-Ranked but were as strong as Yun Bing’s bodyguards only, they could not evade the light in time.
Buzz!
Jiang Yi stealthily released his Xiaozhuan characters via his palms into this commander’s body, and he spun them inside his body. He found out that not only had this commander’s soul spirit started to demonize, his soul spirit was also splitting apart. He had obviously been severely wounded and he wasn’t sure if this commander would ever wake up.
“Forget it; I’ll go all the way to save him.”
Jiang Yi gritted his teeth as he secretly took out the Divine Tree leaf and injected his heavenly powers into it, using it to heal this commander’s soul spirit. After his soul spirit had been healed, Jiang Yi immediately sent him into his spatial divine item and flew towards the next fallen commander.
Although that commander’s soul spirit had been healed, a soul spirit was a person’s foundation. Whether he could ever regain consciousness or not depended on his luck. It was possible that he would be in a coma for the rest of his life.
Jiang Yi’s Heavenly Wind Armor flashed with light as it was ready to protect him at any time. This Ghost-Eyed Beast King’s attacks were so fast; he would definitely not be able to evade in time.
Fortunately, his aura was not very strong and he traveled quietly. Without drawing attention to himself, the Ghost-Eyed Beast King above had not even noticed him. In such a short time, yet another two commanders had fallen, as well as one of Yun Bing’s bodyguards; even Commander Hu had been struck. However, Yun Bing and company actually had not even struck the Ghost-Eyed Beast King once.
Jiang Yi speedily rescued and treated the fallen as he cleansed all their Netherworld Aura and helped their soul spirits to heal. He then tossed them into his spatial divine item. All of them fell into a coma, and he didn’t know if they could be awoken.
“He!”
Yun Bing saw that yet another two of her men had fallen as a mirror appeared in her hand, and she tossed it into the high skies. The mirror enlarged speedily as it became a thousand-foot large and revolved about in the sky.
A light flashed from that mirror as rays of golden light shot out and lit up the sky. The mass of black fog was dissipated by the golden light; this mirror actually had the ability to dispel anything demonic.
“Holy Light Mirror?”
Many bodyguards saw the mirror as they were shaken to their core. However, more than ten of them hurriedly rushed towards Yun Bing to shield her. She was actually forming signs with both her hands and sending streaks of light into the mirror; she was controlling it from afar.
Wu-Wu—
The pair of eyes within the black fog flashed with a sliver of rage; it suddenly continuously shot out streak after streak of that blue, ghastly light straight at Yun Bing. At the same time, the black fog hurriedly swam away, trying to shy away from the holy light.
Bang, bang, bang!
Every streak of light struck one bodyguard down. After seeing three or four fall, Yun Bing frantically shouted, “All are to spread out; I have a soul spirit cardinal treasure; this Ghost-Eyed Beast King cannot kill me.
She continued conjuring her signs as she sent more and more streaks of light into that mirror as it started to shift. Wherever the black fog headed towards, the holy light would follow it. The black fog grew smaller and smaller; in that short amount of time, it had shrunk almost by half.
Wu-Wu—
As the black fog grew smaller, the space in which the eyes could move in was constrained further. The Ghost-Eyed Beast King seemed to have become frightened as it sent out the blue, ghastly light furiously. In a few blinks of the eye, yet another seven to eight men were struck and fell. Yun Bing once again shouted, “All are to scram and attack the eyes!”
Now that Yun Bing was angry, the bodyguards and commanders could only rush towards the black fog and send shooting stars into the black fog. This black fog was getting so much smaller that one person’s attacks actually managed to hit one of the Ghost-Eyed Beast King’s eyes as it let out a terrible cry.
Swish!
Two streaks of blue light shot forward and easily entered Yun Bing’s body. Her body shuddered. Although she didn’t fall out of the sky, her face became extremely pale.
“Damn…”
Jiang Yi’s divine senses could detect Yun Bing’s body shuddering as he had a bad feeling about this. Yun Bing could withstand these two streaks of attacks; how many more could she take?
If Yun Bing was severely wounded, could the rest of them still flee? Even if they could, based on this Ghost-Eyed Beast King’s speed, once it caught up with the main army; almost everyone would be demonized.
“Risk it!”
Jiang Yi kept everyone else who had fallen into his interspatial Ring as his Power of Heaven and Earth circulated. His feet pushed off on the stone peak as he leaped up. The stone peak crushed under his strength as he bolted straight at that black fog.
His body was now a hundred and fifty times stronger, and his speed was so fast; within a blink of the eye, he had neared that black fog. One of the bodyguards shouted out, “Jiang Wuming, come back! Are you mad? You will be demonized!”
Tsk! Tsk!
The black fog surged forward and enveloped Jiang Yi. However, Jiang Yi’s face did not change as he determinedly shot right into the black fog. A ball of Merged Flames appeared in his hand as he flung it forward ferociously.
His ninth star sphere still contained a few balls of Merged Flames. These flames were very powerful and could burn a King-Ranked martial artist to death. As the Merged Flames had a very strong Yang character and could burn everything evil and demonic, Jiang Yi wanted to try to use them to harm this Ghost-Eyed Beast King.
Wu-Wu—
As it was, his decision was the right one. Once the flames appeared, the black fog dissipated at a frightening speed while a painful, ghostly cry rang out. Two blue and ghastly lights struck forward and hit Jiang Yi as his body fell like a kite with its string cut. Jiang Yi fell heavily into a mountain valley.
“These flames!”
All the bodyguards retreated swiftly. The terrifying temperature made them feel as if their bodies were on fire. These flames could even burn Heavenly King You to death. Although these bodyguards were battle-hardened, they were only Titled God Thearchs after all and naturally couldn’t stand the flames.
“Hurry up and attack!”
The two King-Ranked commanders and Yun Bing’s eyes lit up. A huge part of the black fog had been dispelled, and the Ghost-Eyed Beast King’s body was actually burning up; how could they let such a golden opportunity go?
Yun Bing furiously struck at the Holy Light Mirror as it shone brightly, enshrouding the entire Ghost-Eyed Beast King. It cried out even louder in pain as the two King-Ranked martial artists continuously sent shooting stars forward. The Ghost-Eyed Beast King’s body was hit numerous times as greenish blood oozed out.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Shooting stars struck from all directions. After the Ghost-Eyed Beast King was hit a few rounds, it finally exploded into blood mist. However, yet another three bodyguards had been struck by its blue, ghastly light and fell.
Hoo-Hoo!
After the Ghost-Eyed Beast King’s body exploded, Yun Bing breathed out in relief. She quickly thought of something as she cried out, “Quick! Go and see if Jiang Yi is still alive.”
“Jiang Yi?”
Although many had guessed Jiang Yi’s identity—now that Yun Bing had openly named him, the remaining ten-odd men only now realized who he was. Commander Liang flew down speedily. As he reacted, a black figure suddenly flew up from a mountain valley as that person said, “I’m fine. However, I’m Jiang Wuming; who’s Jiang Yi?”
“…”
Everyone rolled their eyes; did Jiang Yi really think they were fools?
