- Chapter 37 - A red mark on the neck
Fang came to realize the reality by Lu’s words.
He admitted he had fallen in love with Lu, which was actually a very dangerous signal in a love affair. What did he mean to Lu? If Lu found out he had other intentions, would the guy just dump him without any mercy? Fang didn’t know!
Maybe they had been too intimate recently, which made Fang always have an illusion that they were dating each other. But in fact, he was just one among Lu’s many lovers. When they were not together, Lu might be flirting with other guys as well. The moment he thought of this, he felt jealous, boiling with envy.
Lu didn’t notice the unusual state of Fang, and after dinner, he sent Fang home personally. Fang was about to ask Lu whether to go upstairs with him when Lu got a phone call.
Fang didn’t notice who called, and he just saw Lu spoke to the other end with a smile, “Don’t worry. I’m coming soon.”
Fang’s heart sank to the bottom, and he just got off the car before Lu hung up.
Lu wanted to say “Good night” to Fang, but Tan Hao kept pressing him at the other end of the phone, “Hurry up! The directors of the “Happy Weekends” are all here. Don’t you want to let that guy in?”

Lu answered, “OK, OK, I get it.”
“Happy Weekends” was just the show Fang would join in. When Lu got there, those people had drunk too much. As soon as they saw Lu come in, they stood up to kick up a fuss.
“Wow, guy in a relationship, huh? We’ve urged and invited you many times.”
Lu didn’t know whether to cry or to laugh, “Guy in a relationship?”
“Don’t deny it. The gossip has been on the trending list for a week. Do you think we are blind?”
Tan Hao actively offered evidence, “Yes, now the whole public relations department of the company is operating for the benefit of Fang. You tell me, when did you ever care so much about your little lovers?”
Lu just smiled, “No, it’s not the truth.”
These guys were just making fun of Lu, and no one took it seriously.
In the next few days, Lu just disappeared, and when Fang tried to contact Lu, he had to wait for a long time before he got a reply. It seemed that he was very busy.
Soon it was the shooting day! Fang’s assistant came to pick him up. Tao had gone back to inherit his family business after the internship, and so the manager had arranged for him a young girl as his new assistant.
The traffic was terrible, and Fang took out the script to get familiar with the procedure. He suddenly remembered his agent had said last time that there would be another guest in the show, so he turned back to ask his assistant, “Has the last guest been confirmed?”
“Yes, it’s Liang Chi.”
Fang got speechless.
“Just that handsome guy who has got a prize for his first film, and the company thinks highly of him.” The new assistant didn’t know the affairs between Fang and Lu yet, and continued to gossip, “I heard he has some relationship with Mr. Lu.”
Fang knew the guy. He was just the handsome boy who had attended the film festival and walked the red carpet with Lu last time. Fang suddenly got a presentiment.
As soon as they arrived, Fang caught sight of Lu at a distance, and the guy who was talking to Lu was just Liang Chi as Fang had expected.
Just the shooting of an episode of a show, and why did the big boss of an entertainment company come in person? Fang felt slightly surprised, but he understood something at the same time. He stood there still for the moment, wondering whether he should go up to say hello.
Soon Lu raised his head, and happened to notice Fang. He waved to Fang naturally, and signaled him to come over.
Fang went up obediently, and greeted the two politely. Liang just turned around and walked away with his arms crossed as if he hadn’t heard Fang’s voice.
Fang…
“Just ignore him! He always acts this way,” Lu comforted.
Looking at the back of Liang, Fang suddenly felt that even Han Jiayue was cuter than the guy.
“Why are you here, Mr. Lu?” Fang withdrew his eyes, and asked knowingly.
Lu pulled Fang closer naturally, “Well, I come to see my Baby Qiao shooting the show.”
This intimate address wrenched Fang’s heart. He could have been very happy if he heard the words before, but now he found them ironic. How many guys had Lu spoken such words to? Had he spoken in this way to Liang Chi just now?
Fang got jealous again. He looked up at Lu with a little resentment in his eyes.
Lu finally realized there was something strange. He pinched Fang’s ears as usual, and asked, “What’s wrong?”
Fang began to shook his head, but he stopped suddenly.
Lu wore a white shirt today, and Fang liked to see him wear this way most.
The top two buttons of the shirt were undone, and the collar was wide open, revealing a remarkable red mark on the skin.
Fang took a deep breath, and spoke to Lu, “Mr. Lu, there is a red mark on your neck.”
Lu fell into a daze for the moment, but he realized something immediately. Covering the neckband with his hand, Lu replied awkwardly, “Got bitten by a mosquito last night.”
Fang exposed him without mercy, “It’s still the end of April…”
Lu, “A mosquito of last year.”
